Intake services are provided to both adults and children (in different locations, however). Screening, assessments, and crisis intervention address the immediate concerns.
Orientation A unique program to begin interfacing adults to Detroit East and to services available. Includes description of programs and services, development of an interim treatment plan, and meeting immediate service needs.
Adult Outpatient services are provided to individuals age 18 and older. The main thrust of outpatient services is to provide clinical treatment for adults which may include crisis intervention, medication management, individual therapy, group therapy, and case management.
Adult Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) provides intense outreach services in the community to consumers who reside independently, are in need of stabilization with psychiatric issues and daily living skills and who also have an extensive history of hospitalizations.
Case Management assists individuals in developing strategies for obtaining services and resources.
Consumer Drop In provides non-structured leisure activities as determined by consumers and Peer Specialists.
Co-Occurring Disorders Program provides mental health and substance abuse treatment to consumers with dual diagnoses.
HUD Housing Assistance, grant-based program which provides housing assistance to consumers who are mentally ill and homeless. Criterion for placement is consumers who are in shelters or are homeless.
HUD Mobile Outreach Team provides support services to individuals in shelters and Detroit East consumers in HUD rental units who are experiencing mental health issues.
HUD/PATH team provides community outreach to mentally ill persons assisting with housing placement; security, rental, utility, and minor renovation assistance; income, SSI, and social service needs.
Skillbuilding, a daily program, helps adult consumers develop and enhance skills necessary for their social adjustment and functioning in the community.
Transportation is available at no charge to and from services at Detroit East.
